The Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team rolled over the Old Town Coyotes, 61-31 at Mackenzie Gymnasium in Old Town on Monday, December 15th as the Eagles rained down 10 3-pointers in the game.

Ellsworth ran out to a 20-9 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter, as they sank 4 3's. Old Town went on a 6-0 run to start the 2nd Quarter to cut the lead to 20-15, but then Ellsworth got untracked and outscored Old Town 15-4 the rest of the Quarter, to lead 35-19. Ellsworth held Old Town to just 2 points in the 3rd Quarter, and led 52-21 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Tyrus Baxter with 14 points, including 4 3-pointers. Colby Eaton had 12 points with 4 3's. Evan Haskell and Bryce Hart each had a 3-pointer. Ellsworth was 3-8 from the free throw line.

Old Town was led by Charlie and Jack DeGrasse with each scoring 8 points and Jack DeGrasse hitting 2 3's. The Coyotes were 5-8 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 3-1 and will host John Bapst on Thursday, December 18th at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device with the pregame starting at 6:45 p.m.

Old Town is now 0-4 and will travel to Newport to play Nokomis on Friday, December 19th at 6:30 p.m.
