Ellsworth Boy’s Basketball Beats Bucksport 71-37 [STATS]

The Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team beat Bucksport 71-37, Tuesday night, January 30th at Katsiaficas Gymnasium.

At the game, the 2023 Northern Maine Ellsworth Gril's Soccer Team was honored and had their Championship Banner updated

Ellsworth led 17-13 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 32-26 at the end of the 1st Half. A 22-6 run in the 3rd Quarter gave the Eagles a 54-32 lead over the Golden Bucks after the 3rd Quarter.

Chance Mercier led all scorers, finishing with 21 points for Ellsworth. Kyle Kenny had 8 points. Mercier, Milers Palmer, Hollis Grindal and Dawson Curtis each had a 3-pointer. The Eagles were 1-5 from the free throw line.

Bucksport was led by Collin McDougal with 9 points. Evan Donnell and Caden Blackwood each finished with 8 points. McDougal and Donnell each drained a 3-pointer. The Golden Bucks were 1-5 from the free throw line.

Bucksport is now 6-9 on the season. The Golden Bucks travel up to Presque Isle to play the Wildcats on Thursday, February 1st at 5:30 p.m.

Ellsworth is now 13-3. They will play host to John Bapst on Thursday, February 1st at 7 p.m. That will be Senior Recognition night for the Eagles. It will be  the last regular season home game for Chance Mercier, Isiah Corson, Kaleb Conners, Cruz Coffin, Miles Palmer and Josiah James-Chin.
