#5 Ellsworth Falls to #1 Cony 66-64 [STATS & PHOTOS]

The #5 Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team had a chance to win the Class B semifinal at the buzzer with the Cony Rams, but the 3-point attempt was no good and the #1 Rams beat Ellsworth 66-64.

Cony led 18-15 at the end of the 1st Quarter and led 33-31 at the Half, as Parker Morin hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Rams a 2-point lead. The call on the court was good, and after a video review, there was not enough evidence to overturn the call and the 3-pointer counted.

The game was tied at 48-48 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

With 3.7 seconds left, Cony led by 2, and Ellsworth's shot was no good, but they tied up the ball. The Eagles had the possession arrow and were able to inbound the ball to Bryce Hart, who's shot was just off the mark.

Ellsworth was led by Eli Holler with 19 points. including a 3-pointer. Jackson Barry had 18 points. Evan Haskell and Bryce Hart each had 9 points with 3 3's. Ellsworth was 3-6 from the free throw line.

Cony was led by Parker Morin with 26 points including 2 3-pointer. Carter Braithwaite had 14 points and Jackson Kay had 14 points with 2 3's. The Rams were 17-29 from the free throw line.

Cony advances and will play #3 Gardiner in the Class B North Regional Final on Friday, Februry 27th at 8:30 p.m.
