Ellsworth Girls Fall to Hermon 48-32 [STATS]

The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team fell to the Hermon Hawks 48-32 on Wednesday, January 21st at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth.

The Ellsworth Girls unveiled their new Breast Cancer Awareness pink uniforms.

Ellsworth led 9-7 at the end of the 1st Quarter. Hermon outscored Ellsworth 13-6 in the 2nd Quarter and led 20-15 at the Half. The Hawks outscored Ellsworth 16-8 in the 3rd Quarter to lead 36-23 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Hermon was led by Abbie Bradstreet with 15 points, including 2 3-pointers. Rebecca Balmas had 13 points and Lila Ryan had 12 points with 3 3's. The Hawks were 7-12 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth was led by Elizabeth Boles who had 11 points including a 3-pointer. Kaylee Bagley had 6 points with a 3-pointer and Allie Bivens had 6 points. The Eagles were 6 -12 from the free throw line. 

Hermon is now 12-1 and in 1st place in the Class B North Heal Point Standings. The Hawks will host Lawrence on Saturday, January 24th at 1:30 p.m.

Ellsworth is 8-6 and in 6th place in the Class B North Heal Point Standings. The Eagles will play host to Belfast on Friday, January 23rd at 6 p.m. That game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device with the pregame starting around 5:40 p.m.
