Ellsworth Baseball Shuts Out John Bapst 8-0
The Ellsworth Eagles Baseball Team shutout the John Bapst Crusaders 8-0 in Ellsworth on Thursday, May 6th.
David Baugh pitched the complete game shutout for the Eagles, tossing 7 innings. He struck out 3, walked 2 and allowed only 4 hits.
Ellsworth score 3 runs in the 1st inning, sending 8 batters to the plate. All the runs scored with 2 out, as Hunter Curtis, Peter Kablinsky, Craig Burnett, Nathan Burnett and Reece Jagels all singled back to back to back to back to back.
They added 4 runs in the 3rd inning an then a run in the 4th inning on Craig Burnett's solo home run.
Craig Burnett was 2-4 with the homer and single, scoring 3 runs.
Reece Jagels was 2-4 with 2 singles, driving in 3 runs
Michal Palmer was 1-3 with a single and 2 runs batted in.
Brett Bragdon, Peter Kablinsky, Nathan Smith and Miles Palmer all singled for the Eagles.
Ellsworth is now 4-2 and will play host to the Hermon Hawks on Saturday, May 8th at 12 noon.
John Bapst is 0-3 and will play at Foxcroft Academy on Saturday May 8th.
