The Ellsworth Baseball Team rolled over the Foxcroft Academy Ponies 33-1 as the 2 teams started the 2026 season in Dover-Foxcroft on Thursday, April 23rd.

Ellsworth outhit Foxcroft Academy 14-3 and took advantage of the Foxcroft Academy's pitchers wildness, walking 16 times.

Jackson Barry pitched a 5 inning mercy-rule-shortened complete game for the Eagles. He struck out 8 and didn't walk a batter. He allowed 3 hits and 1 run.

Dawson Curtis led the Eagle's offense, going 2-3 with a home run and drove in 4 runs. Jackson Barry was 3-4 and drove in 4 runs. Caleb Jordan was 2-4 with a double and drove in 5 runs. Evan Haskell had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs. Mason Ellington, Brayden Pooler, Gunner Vines and Porter Merrill each had a single.

Haskell had 2 stolen bases and Curtis and Vines each had 1 stolen bag.

Michael Kinney had a single and drove in a run for the Ponies. Thomas Day and Evan Seavey each had a single.

Ellsworth is now 1-0. They will host John Bapst on Tuesday, April 28th at 4:30 p.m.

Foxcroft Academy is 0-2. They will play at Belfast on Friday, April 24th at 4:30 p.m.
