The Ellsworth Baseball Team remained undefeated, improving to 8-0 on the season, beating the Belfast Lions in Belfast 3-2 on Thursday May 9th.

Ellsworth took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st and then Belfast tied the score in the bottom of the 3rd. Ellsworth added another run in the top of the 6th but Belfast tied the game in the bottom of the 6th. The Eagles scored the winning run in the top of the 7th as Hunter Curtis walked, then advanced on a sacrifice bunt and scored on an error.

Matt Burnett pitched a complete game for Ellsworth. He allowed only 2 hits, striking out 9 and walking 2.

Jackson Curtis had a double and single to lead the Eagles. He drove in 2 runs.  Tyler Mitchell and Michael Palmer had a single

Tanner Veilleux had a double and Lucas Hamlin had a single for Belfast's hits.

Chris Kelley was on the mound for Belfast striking out 2 and walking 2.

Ellsworth 8-0 plays host to MDI on Monday May 13 at 4:30

Belfast 5-3 plays host to Mount View on Monday, May 13 at 4PM
