The Ellsworth Eagles Baseball Team beat the Hermon Hawks in Hermon 5-1 on Tuesday, May 25th.

David Baugh spun a 2-hitter on the mound, not allowing a hit until the 5th inning when Eli Reed doubled. Baugh stranded him on 3rd with a strikeout. Chris Gage had a pinch-hit single in the 7th for the Hawks only other hit. Baugh finished with 4 strikeouts and walked only 1.

Eli Reed pitched for Hermon, allowing 5 hits. He struck out 2 and walked 4.

Michael Palmer was 3-3 for Ellsworth with 3 singles.

Craig Burnett, and Reece Jagels each had a single for the Eagles.

Ellsworth scored 2 runs in the 2nd and 1 run in the 5th, 6th and 7th innings.

Hermon's lone run came in the 4th inning.

Ellsworth is now 9-4 with 3 games remaining. They play at Old Town, who defeated Ellsworth in the 1st game of the season 8-2, on Thursday, May 27th at 4:00 p.m. They then play at Husson University against John Bapst on Friday, the 28th at 4:30 p.m before closing out the season at home against MDI on Tuesday, June 1st at 4:30 p.m.

Hermon is 6-7 with 3 games remaining. They play at John Bapst on Wednesday, May 26th, at Nokomis in Newport on Friday, May 28th before finishing the season at home against Old Town on Tuesday, June 1st.
