It took 3 or 4 tries, but the Ellsworth Eagles finally played the Washington Academy Raiders, with the game being moved to Ellsworth. Ellsworth beat Washington Academy 11-0 on Thursday, May 30th

Ellsworth scored 3 runs in the 4th inning and 4 runs in the 5th and 6th innings.

Jackson Curtis pitched a complete game for Ellsworth, striking out 6. He didn't walk a batter and allowed only 1 single, to Cecil Gray in the top of the 2nd inning.

Conner Wagstaff had a double. Tyler Mitchell, Devin Grindle, Jackson Curtis, Matt Burnett, and Michael Palmer each  had a single.

Ellsworth is 14-1 and in 1st place in the Class B North Heal Points. Ellsworth plays their last regular game of the season on Friday, May 31st at 3:30 in Bar Harbor against the MDI Trojans. That game will be broadcast on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device, starting at 3:20. Ellsworth will finish the regular season in 1st place regardless of the outcome of Friday's game.

Washington Academy finishes the regular season with a record of 7-9 and will not make the playoffs.
