The Ellsworth Boys' Baseball Team is a perfect 4-0 in May, and are now 5-2 on the season after they defeated Foxcroft Academy 12-8 on Wednesday afternoon in Dover-Foxcroft in another rainy game.

Brad Smith threw the 1st 5 1/3 innings for the Eagles with Austin Baron pitching the final 1 2/3 innings. Combined they allowed 8 hits, struck out 3 and walked 4.

Ellsworth scored 2 in the 1st inning, and 5 runs in the 2nd inning batting around. They also scored 1 run in the 3rd, and 4th ininng and added 2 more runs in the 5th inning. They added an insurance run in the 7th inning.

All of Ellsworth's batters with the exception of 2 had base hits. Sam Giffin had a double and 2 singles. Sam Horne had 2 singles. Brad Smith, Jack Lee, Jared Hamilton, Chris Barnes and Devin Grindle all had a single for the Eagles.

For Foxcroft Academy Matthew Spooner had 2 singles, Billy Brock had a double. Jeremy Richard, Ryan Vienneau, Logan Butera, Levi Stedman and Jacob Olson all had singles for the Ponies.

Ellsworth, now 5-2 plays at Hermon on Friday, May 12th at 4:30 PM.

Foxcroft Academy is 5-3 and plays host to MDI on Thursday, May 11th at 4:30 PM
