The Ellsworth and Brewer Boys Soccer Teams battled to a 2-2 draw after double overtime at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth on Thursday, October 15th.

Brewer took a 1-0 lead with 19:42 remaining in the 1st Half when Andrew Hodgins scored for the Witches.

The scored remained 1-0 at the end of the 1st Half.

Ellsworth scored twice within 2 minutes and 20 seconds in the 2nd Half. Henry Scheff scored off a Pascal Poirier corner kick with 33:25 left in the 2nd Half and then Cruz Coffin scored with 31:05 remaining.

The score remained 2-1 with Ellsworth in the lead, until Gavin Carr scored on a penalty kick for Brewer after Ellsworth was whistled for a hand ball in the box. The tying goal came with just 1:47 remaining in regulation.

After 2 extra 5 minute overtime periods, the score remained deadlocked.

Ellsworth is next in action on Monday, October 19th when they host Bucksport at 5:45 p.m.
