The Ellsworth Girl's Softball Team improved to 3-1 on the season on Thursday, defeating the John Bapst Crusaders 13-4 in Ellsworth.

For the Eagles, Mackenzie Chipman pitched the 1st 5 innings, allowing 4 hits, and struck out 7. Sammy Mason pitched the final 2 innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 3.

Callie Hammer went 2-4 for the Eagles with 2 doubles and knocked in 2 runs. Katie Hammer and Hannah Sargent each had a double.

The Eagles are scheduled to play host to Washington Academy on Friday, May 5th at 4:30 weather permitting.

John Bapst is now 2-3 on the season and are scheduled to play a doubleheader at Caribou on Saturday May 6th at 12
