The hardest job in sports is coming in to replace a legend, and Ellsworth High School has just named Paul Lock as the new Boy's Soccer Coach, to replace legendary coach Brian Higgins. Higgins retired as the Boy's Soccer Coach this past Spring,  with a 566-103-45 record with the Eagles’ soccer team.

Lock is no stranger to the Ellsworth school system or the Ellsworth Soccer Program. He was a 5th grade teacher at the Ellsworth Elementary- Middle school, retiring 2 years ago. He was the the coach of the Middle School Varsity Program since 1992.

He has worked closely with Brian Higgins during the summer Bootin' Eagle Soccer Camps. He has extensive coaching experience with local grade schoolers through the Ellsworth Travel Soccer League run through the Downeast Family YMCA.

Paul played collegiate level soccer at Syracuse University as a goalkeeper.
