EHS JV Girls Top John Bapst 53-17 [STATS/RECAP]

The Ellsworth JV Girls Basketball Team defeated John Bapst 53-17, on Wednesday, February 17th at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth.

Ellsworth jumped out to a 13-4 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. Megan Johnson had 6 points, Allie Neleski had 5 points including a 3-pointer and Wendy Manning added 2 points. For John Bapst, Anna Drake and Brynn Schroeher each had 2 points.

In the 2nd Quarter Ellsworth increased their lead to 30-7 at the end of the 1st Half, outscoring John Bapst 17-3. Megan Jordan had 7 points, Aaliyah Manning and Brooke Pirie each had 4 points and Alex Bivins had 2 points. For the Crusaders Lily Tankel had 2 points and Ariana Cross was 1-2 from the free throw line.

It was 38-11 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Megan Jordan had 4 more points for Ellsworth with Alex Bivins and Aaliyah Manning each adding 2 points. For John Bapst Oona Sacarodiz and Samantha Warren had 2 points.

In the 4th Quarter Manning had 5 points for Ellsworth with a 3-pointer. Allie Neleski had 4 points and Alex Bivins, Megan Jordan and Olivia Harmon each had 2 points. For John Bapst, Warren had 4 points and Tankel 2 points.

Ellsworth was led by Megan Jordan with 19 points. Aaliyah Manning had 11 points and Allie Neleski had 9 points. Ellsworth was 3-6 from the free throw line.

John Bapst was led by Samantha Warren with 6 points. The Crusaders were 1-6 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is back in action on Friday, February 19th when they play at Bangor at 5 p.m.
