The Ellsworth JV Girls Soccer Team defeated John Bapst Thursday night, under the lights at Del Luce Stadium 1-0

Mariah Rossi scored Ellsworth's lone goal.

Libby Kohr was in goal for the Eagles.

Now, let me tell you why I LOVE this! Check out the picture sent to me by Meghan Stubbs, the JV Girls Coach.

First....Notice all the girls are wearing pink socks to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's never too early for these mostly 9th and 10th graders to learn about the importance of Breast Cancer awareness. Chances are they all know someone who is fighting or has fought breast cancer. And it's not too early for them to learn the importance of monthly breast self exams

Second... Look at who's calling the 1....2...3... Eagles! It's Coach Stubb's son Liam! How cute is that? I love how the team has embraced him as the mascot! And it was the last home game of the season! What a way to start the game!
