EHS JV Boys Beat MDI 42-28 for Hancock County JV Boys Championship [STATS/RECAP/PHOTOS]

The Ellsworth JV Boys Team defeated the MDI JV Green Team Thursday night, March 4th for the Hancock County JV Boy's Championship at Katsiaficas Gymnasium at Ellsworth High School.

Ellsworth jumped out to a 11-7 lea at the end of the 1st Quarter. Craig Burnett had 4 points for Ellsworth, while Brady Kenney had 3 points and Logan McGowan and Ethan Leclerc each had 2 points. For MDI Evan Ankrom had 5 points and Jack Hodgdon added 2 points.

Ellsworth increased their lead to 24-13 at the end of the 1st Half, outscoring MDI 13-6 in the 2nd Quarter. McGowan had 4 points and Drew Cote drained a 3-pointer for the Eagles. Dylan Pung, Ethan Leclerc and Craig Burnett each chipped in 2 points. For MDI Jack Hodgdon had 4 points and Alex Yeadon 2 points.

In the 3rd Quarter MDI slightly cut into Ellsworth's lead, outscoring them 5-3 to make the score 27-18 Ellsworth at the end of the 3rd Quarter. For MDI Ankrom had 3 points and Yeadon 2 points. Leclerc had 2 points for Ellsworth and Kenney was 1-2 from the free throw line.

In the 4th Quarter Drew Cote hit 2 3-pointers for Ellsworth, to finish with 3 for the game. Brady Kenney had 5 points, going 3-4 from the free throw line. Logan McGowan had 4 points, going 2-2 from the free throw line. For MDI Harley Henderson had 5 points with a 3-pointer. Jack Hodgdon had a 3-pointer and Evan Ankrom had 2 points, going 2-4 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth was led by Logan McGowan with 10 points while Drew Cote and Brady Kenney each had 9 points. Ellsworth was 7-15 from the free throw line.

MDI was led by Evan Ankrom with 10 points while Jack Hodgdon had 9 points. The Trojans were 4-8 from the free throw line.
