EHS JV Boys Basketball Too Much for MDI JV White Win 70-33 [STATS]

The Ellsworth JV Boys Basketball Team was too much for the MDI JV White Team on Thursday, February 11th, with the Eagles winning 70-33 at Bernard Parady Gymnasium in Bar Harbor.

Ellsworth jumped out to a 17-9 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. Peter Keblinsky lit up the scoreboard with 11 points including 3 3-pointers. Logan McGowan, Dylan Pung and Brad Kenney each had 2 points for Ellsworth. For MDI Ben Lipski had 3 points, Aiden Grant and Nathan Lawson each had 2 points and Jack White and Shane Lumbatis were each 1-2 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth increased their lead in the 2nd Quarter, outscoring MDI 18-11 to take a 35-20 lead at the end of the 1st Half. Ethan LeClerc and Craig Burnett each had 6 points for the Eagles. Cruz Coffin hit a 3-pointer, Keblinsky added 2 more points and Drew Cote was 1-2 from the free throw line. For MDI Ethan Sosa hit 2 3-pointers, Isaac MacDonnell had a 3-pointer and Ben Lipski chipped in a basket.

In the 3rd Quarter Ellsworth stretched their lead, outscoring MDI 19-11 to make it 54-31 after 3 Quarters.  Craig Burnett had 7 points and Logan McGowan had 4 points for Ellsworth. Peter Keblinsky, Brad Kenney, Ethan LeClerc and Isaac Rowell all chipped in a basket. For MDI, Nathan Lawson had 4 points, Ethan Sosa had a 3-pointer and Ben Lipski and Camden Barker each had 2 points.

In the 4th Quarter Ethan LeClerc had 6 points to pace Ellsworth. Cruz Coffin had 4 points, while Craig Burnett, Andrew Herrick and Isaac Rowell each had 2 points. For MDI Shane Lumbatis had MDI's lone points.

MDI is back in action on Saturday, February 13th when they play host to Hermon. That game will tip off at 12:30 and will be broadcast on the MDI NFHS Network (subscription required)

Ellsworth is back in action tonight, Friday, February 12th when they travel to Hermon. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the Brewer High School You Tube Page
