Thursday night, December 14th will be a big night for the Visual and Performing Arts at Ellsworth High School!

The Holiday Arts Festival with Art Show will be held at 5:30 PM and the Concert is at 7 PM. The opening of the new Visual Performing Arts Gallery will be at 5:30 PM.

The Visual and Performing Arts Department has long wanted an official gallery for many years to display student's work, and this is now come to fruition. There will be displays from Digital Art, 2D Art and 3D Art as well as from the recent production of "The Little Mermaid". Original music from students will also be played in the gallery.

The plan is to change up the displays every couple of months, and the work may be viewed anytime through the windows, and the gallery will be open during special events and by request.

The Art Show will have work from all of the current Art Classes as well as a silent auction of painted furniture by the National Art Honor Society.

The Concert Thursday night features Ellsworth High School's Concert Choir directed by Rebecca Wright and the Symphonic Band will be under the direction of Jamie Calandro.

2nd Art Classes are taught by Shannon Westphal and 3D Art Classes are taught by Leah Olson.

Thanks to Rebecca Wright for the information.
