EHS Girls Run Away From GSA 62-49 [STATS/RECAP/PHOTOS]

The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team ran away from George Stevens Academy in the second half en route to a 62-49 victory in Blue Hill on Saturday, December 16th.

GSA led 13-12 at the end of the 1st Quarter. Julianna Allen had 6 points while Mazie Smallidge had 4 points and Emma Crosby had 3 points. For Ellsworth, Trinity Montigny had 8 points with 2 3-pointers, Kayla Duhaime had 2 points and Katelynn Bagley had 2 points.

At the end of the 1st Half the game was tied 22-22. In the 2nd Quarter Montigny had 8 more points for Ellsworth with two more 3-pointers. Sierra Andrews had 2 points for Ellsworth.  For GSA Allen had 5 points and Smallidge and Mallory Charette had 2 points each.

In the 3rd Quarter Ellsworth outscored GSA 20-10 to take a 42-32 lead and never looked back. Bagley had 9 points for Ellsworth, Kylie Robidoux had 6 points, Hannah Sargent had a 3-pointer and Montigny added 2 points. For GSA Smallidge had 4 points and Allen, Crosby and Charette had 2 points each.

In the 4th Quarter Bagley added 8 more points, Montigny had 5 points, Autumn Paul and Sara Shea 2 points each and Sierra Andrews 1 point for the Ellsworth Eagles. Julianna Allen added 12 points with 2 3-pointers for GSA and Smallidge had 5 points.

Ellsworth was led by Trinity Montigny with 23 points while Katelynn Bagley had 19 points. Ellsworth was 11-19 from the free throw line.

GSA was led by Julianna Allen with a game high 25 points while Mazie Smallidge had 15 points. GSA was 10-14 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 2-0 and will play host to Old Town on Thursday, December 21st in a make-up game. That game tips off and will be broadcast on on AM 1370 WDEA, WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device with the pregame starting at 6:45.

GSA is 0-4 and plays host to Bucksport, Monday December 18th at 7PM.
