The Ellsworth Girl's Basketball Team have now won 5 out of their last 6 games, after beating Caribou up in Aroostook County on Friday, January 27th by the score of 36-23.

Ellsworth jumped out to a 6-2 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter, and led 15-7 at the end of the 1st Half. At the end of the 3rd Quarter, Ellsworth was up 24-17 before winning 36-23.

Ellsworth was led by Katelynn Bagley with 11 points, Sammy Mason had 9 points and  Trinity Montigny had 7 points, with a 3-pointer. Ellsworth was 5-10 from the free throw line.

Caribou was led by Gabrielle Marquis with 10 points while Maddie Doucette had 8 points. Gabrielle Marquis, Rachel Soucy and Maddie Doucette each had 3-pointers. The Vikings were 4-9 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 7-7 and play at Presque Isle on Saturday, January 28th at 1PM.

Caribou is now 4-9 and will play host to MDI on Saturday, January 28th at 1 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.
