EHS Girls Beat GSA on Senior Night 57-26 [Box Score]

The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team celebrated Senior Recognition Night on Thursday, February 1st, beating the George Stevens Academy Eagles 57-26 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth.

Ellsworth led 16-8 at the end of the 1st Quarter, and 23-14 at the end of the 1st Half. The Ellsworth defense limited GSA to just 4 points in the 3rd Quarter to increase their lead to 23 points after the 3rd Quarter 41-18, before cruising to a 57-26 win.

Ellsworth was led by senior Katelynn Bagley with 16 points. Trinity Montigny had 16 points as well, and senior Hannah Sargent finished with 10 points and 2 3-pointers. Ellsworth was 9-19 from the free throw line.

GSA was led by Julianna Allen with 10 points. GSA was 6-16 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth now 9-7 will play at Old Town on Saturday, February 3rd at 2:30 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device with the pregame beginning at 2:15 PM.

GSA 4-12 plays at Lee Academy on Saturday, February 3rd at 2:30 PM.
