EHS Beats Foxcroft Academy 2-1

The Ellsworth Eagles Boys Soccer Team opened the 2017 season with a 2-1 victory over the Foxcroft Academy Ponies on Saturday afternoon September 2nd at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth.

The Ellsworth Eagles had 4 shots and 5 saves while Foxcroft Academy had 5 shots and 4 saves.

Ellsworth scored 1st with 9:40 remaining in the 1st Half, when Zach Harris found the back of the net.

The Ponies tied the score with 7:10 remaining in the Half. The score was 1-1 at the end of the 1st Half.

Ellsworth scored the winning goal, on a shot by Jack Lee with 32:41 remaining in the game.

Ellsworth is now 1-0 and will play at Belfast on Tuesday, September 5th at 4:00 PM.

Foxcroft Academy 0-1 will play at Nokomis in Newport on Tuesday, September 5th at 3:30 PM.
