You probably didn't feel it, so you may not know but Maine experienced an earthquake on Saturday, January 21st. It occurred 6 kilometers Northnortheast of West Paris at 4:51 PM

According to reports it was 2.1 on the Richter Scale and occurred at a depth of 4.4 kilometers.

According to the New England Seismic Network there have been 2 other minor earthquakes in Maine in 2017, 1 on January 17th, 13 kilometers east of Waterville, a 1.1 on the Richter Scale and then 1 on January 7th 8 kilometers north of Dover Foxcroft a .9 on the Richter Scale.
