Eagles Beat Witches 9-3 at Mansfield Stadium Saturday Afternoon [PHOTOS]

The Ellsworth Eagles picked up a much needed win Saturday afternoon, May 15th beating the Brewer Witches 9-3 at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor.

Hunter Curtis picked up the win for Ellsworth, pitching a complete game, allowing 6 hits and 3 runs, 2 of which were earned. He struck out 7 and walked 2.

Curtis helped himself at the plate going 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times.

David Baugh had 2 singles, driving in 2 runs and scoring onc.

Peter Keblinsky had a double and single, driving in 2 runs.

Nathan Smith had 2 singles. Matt Reid and Brett Bragdon each had a single.

The Eagles batted around in the 6th inning, sending 10 to the plate and scoring 4 times

For Brewer Evan Nedeau had 2 singles. Jed Gilpatrick had a triple and drove in 2 runs. Anthony Chiappone had a single. Rowan Valley and Ethan Norwood each had a single

Grady Vanidestine started on the mound for Brewer.

Ellsworth is now 6-3 and will play at Washington Academy on Tuesday, May 18th.

Brewer is now 3-7 and will play at Hampden on Thursday, May 20th.
