Eagles Beat MDI 5-2 on Senior Recognition Day

The Ellsworth Eagles beat the MDI Trojans 5-2 on Senior Recognition Day in Bar Harbor, on Wednesday, May 29th. It was the regular season finale for both teams.

Anna Stevens was in the circle for Ellsworth, and pitched a complete game, allowing 8 hits and 2 runs, 1 earned run striking out 4 and walking 2.

Taylor Grant was in the circle for MDI. She pitched a complete game allowing 9 hits and 5 runs. She struck out 5 and didn't walk a batter.

Natalie Jagels and Elizabeth Boles each had 2 hits, and 2 runs batted in. Boles had a double. Aaliyah Manning, Sophia Lynch, Paige Johnson, Anna Stevens and Brooklynn Carter each singled for the Eagles.

Manning had 2 stolen bases an Carter and Boles each swiped a bag.

Grace Hodgdon, Hannah Lawson and Taylor Grant each doubled for the Trojans.

It was the final regular season home game for Mollie Gray and Grace Horner for the MDI Trojans

Ellsworth finishes the season with a 13-3 record and will likely finish in 3rd place in the Class B North Heal Point Standings. MDI is now 7-9 and will likely finish in 6th place in the Class B North Heal Point Standings.
