Dryer Fire at Crocker House Inn Cancels Thanksgiving Dinner
Area firefighters were toned out Wednesday night to what was reported a working structure fire at The Crocker House Inn in Hancock. Luckily, the fire was in the dryer, and was contained, and quickly extinguished using fire extinguishers.
Thankfully no one was injured, and no real damage was done to the historic Inn. However, the Ansul Fire Suppression System went off. If you have ever seen this happen, it spreads a white chemical everywhere! The system is designed to put out the fire.

We regret to inform you that we will not be serving Thanksgiving Dinner in order to allow for proper cleaning of our kitchen facilities. We will also be closed Friday. From the bottom of our hearts, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes many of you. We will keep you all updated as we make progress on what this means for dinner service this Saturday and Sunday.
We hope they are able to get everything cleaned up quickly and get the clearance to resume dinner this weekend.
