Downeast Adaptive Youth Recreation Non-Profit Established

The establishment of the Downeast Adaptive Youth Recreation Non-Profit is going to be a game changer for children with disabilities in Downeast Maine! As a father of a child with cerebral palsy who uses a wheelchair, I applaud this, and hope that you will like their Facebook Page and if you are able, to make a donation to their cause!

I have had the privilege of broadcasting Ellsworth and MDI Unified Basketball games. I have taken pictures of the Ellsworth Middle School Unified Basketball game and pictures of children playing Challenger Baseball. The looks on their faces brought me smiles, tears and laughter. The pride I saw in their faces and their parents and friends faces was palpable.

On May 24th from 5:30 to 7 at the Moore Community and Conference Center in Ellsworth there will be registration for Challenger Little League for new and returning players as well as volunteers. There is NO cost for players!

Ellsworth will also be hosting the 2019 Challenger Jamboree on August 24th-25th
