Former MDI Trojan Cross Country teammates turned rivals as the Maine Maritime Academy and Husson University Women's Cross Country Teams competed in the 2019 Northern Vermont University- Lyndon Cross Country Run Invitational on Saturday, September 7th.

Lily Cook, a freshman at Maine Maritime Academy finished the 3 kilometer race in a time of 15:58.2, good enough for 18th place. Emily Banks, a sophomore at Husson University finished with a time of 16:26.5, which was good enough for 24th place.

Husson finished 1st as a team while Maine Maritime Academy finished 4th.

Husson is back in action next week, Saturday, September 14th for the Husson Harrier Invitational. Maine Maritime Academy competes next Saturday, September 14th at the University of New England
