#3 Lawrence Girls Survive #7 Ellsworth 47-42 [STATS]

The #3 Lawrence Lady Bulldogs survived the #7 Ellsworth Eagles, winning 47-42 in a Class B North semifinal at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on Wednesday, February 18.

The game was tied at 8-8 at the end of the 1st Quarter.

Lawrence led 22-14 at the end of the 1st Half, as Maddie Provost, who has committed to attend Division 1 Holy Cross had 6 points.

In the 3ed Quarter Ellsworth took the lead 32-29, outscoring the Bulldogs 18-7. In the 3rd Quarter Sydney Mason and Kaylee Bagley each had 8 points for the Eagles, each draining 2 3-pointers.

In the 4th Quarter Provost had 11 points for the Bulldogs, while Austyn Atherton hit back-to-back 3-pointes for Ellsworth and Bagley had 4 points to keep Ellsworth in the game until the final minutes.

Ellsworth was led by Kaylee Bagley with 15 points. Sydney Mason and Austyn Atherton each had 10 points. Mason, Bagley and Atherton each had 2 3-pointers for the Eagles. Ellsworth was 2-5 from the free throw line.

Lawrence was led by Maddie Provost with 21 points. Ashley Shores had 14 points. Both Provost and Shores had 3-pointers. Lawrence was 13-18 from the free throw line.

Lawrence  will now play #1 Gardiner in the Class B Northern Maine Regional Final on Friday night, February 20th at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor at 7 p.m.
