Clarke Named NAC Rookie of the Week

Not a bad way to finish up the regular season and your first playoff game... Being named Rookie of the Week for the North Atlantic Conference and assisting on the tying goal! That's what happened to former Ellsworth Eagle, Colby Clarke at Maine Maritime Academy!

Clarke helped lead the Mariners to a 2-1 upset victory over the third-seeded Thomas on Sunday afternoon. The midfielder's shot late in the second half set up a corner kick, which led to the game-tying goal. The rookie took the corner kick and earned the assist on the equalizer when teammate Ike Doiron headed in the Mariners' first goal of the game

For the season Clarke has 1 goal and 6 assists. The Mariners will take on Colby Sawyer in the North Atlantic Conference semifinals on Wednesday, November 1st at 2 PM.
