Chicken Nugget Bouquet Is the Most Delicious Way to Say ‘I Love You’

You know, it really is the little things that mean the most.

A 19-year-old woman in the Philippines named Annika Aguinaldo posted a photo on Twitter of a bouquet of chicken nuggets her boyfriend, Rico Villanueva, gave her. To play off the classic Bruce Springsteen song, we guess you could say she's got a hungry heart.

It's nice to know that chicken nuggets don't always bring out the worst in people because, man, do people love this food.

The romantically culinary gesture is steeped in tradition. The couple first went out together to McDonald's and Aguinaldo had once told Villanueva she didn't like getting flowers so she joked she'd prefer a bouquet of chicken, instead. Being the attentive boyfriend he is, Villanueva did just that.

The tweet has since picked up steam and even inspired McDonald's to invite the happy couple to come in for a meal.

So, while you're struggling about what to get that special someone for Valentine's Day, just remember this. Who needs a dozen roses when you can surprise your lady love with a dozen nuggets?
