A day after the Boston Red Sox fired Alex Cora and 5 coaches, the Boston Red Sox beat the Baltimore Orioles 5-3 in Chad Tracy's 1st game as interim manager on Sunday, April 26th.

Connolly Early pitched 6.2 innings, picking up the win to improve to 2-1 on the season. He allowed 4 hits and 2 runs, striking out 4 and walking 1. Zach Kelly got the last out in the 7th inning. Garrett Whitlock allowed 1 run on 2 hits, striking out 1 in the 8th and Aroldis Chapman earned his 5th save, striking out 2 in the 9th inning.

Willson Contreras hit a 2-run homer in the 5th inning, his 6th of the season.

Ceddanne Rafaela was 2-4 with a double and triple.

Andru Monasterio started at shortstop in place of Trevor Story and was 1-4 with a run batted in.

The Red Sox stole 4 bases, with Caleb Durbin stealing 2 bags and Jarren Duran and Marcello Mayer each stealing 1 base.

Boston is now 11-17 and Baltimore is 13-15. Boston heads to Toronto for a 3-game series with the Blue Jays beginning on Monday, April 27th with the pregame starting at 6:07 on WDEA AM 1370.
