Celebrating Maine Maple Sunday Weekend in Hancock and Washington Counties

This weekend, March 23rd and 24th is Maine Maple Sunday Weekend, and the lone sugar shack in Hancock and Washington Counties participating is Church's Sugar Shack with is located at 5 Look Lane in Columbia Falls.

They will be open this weekend from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. where you can learn the process of making maple syrup from tap to table!  You can view demonstrations of their wood fired evaporator, walk through the sugar bush, see tree tapping and enjoy samples of maple syrup over vanilla ice cream and maple baked beans.

They'll have a variety of products for sale including Maple syrup, maple sugar, maple fudge, maple cotton candy, homemade maple whoopie pies, maple pecan cheeseballs, maple glazed nuts, popcorn and pretzels as well as a variety of jellies and jams
