When we checked out Dessie's YouTube Channel, we found some amazing covers of tunes by Adele, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and Sasha Sloan. That is a pretty impressive list of female vocalists, and she knocks them all out of the park.

The Bar Harbor Town Band's Board of Directors met last week and decided that they would cancel their July 2021 performances, but evaluate the levels of COVID-19 on the Island after the 4th of July, and possibly play in August. Stay tuned!

One of the many things that COVID-19 has impacted is the arts, and the fact that we can't go and watch local high school choruses, theater groups, high school bands etc. perform hurts us individually as well as a community. Luckily, many groups have adapted and switched to virtual performances.

Musicians have been impacted greatly by COVID. They're used to performing together in groups and they're just not able to do it in school, with the COVID safety measures. That's why the list of students who have been selected to MMEA Classical All State's All Virtual Band/Orchestra/Choruses and Virtual All State Jazz deserve special recognition.
