Playing without 2 injured starters, the Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team lost their 1st game of the season, falling to the Caribou Vikings 40-23 on Friday night, December 20th in Ellsworth.

Ellsworth is without Abby Radel and Lily Bean, and have lost the services of Sydney Mason for the season. Addison Atherton who has missed the season to-date played in the 1st Quarter.

Caribou led 9-7 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 23-14 at the end of the 1st Half. The Vikings led 28-18 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Caribou was led by Liv Adams who had a game-high 15 points including 2 3-pointers. Madelynn Deprey had 13 points. Lilly Bell had a 3-pointer. The Vikings were 11-20 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth was led by Kaylee Bagley and Elizabeth Boles who each had 8 points. Boles had 2 3-pointers. The Eagles were 5-8 from the free throw line.

Caribou is now 5-0. They will play at MDI on Saturday, December 21st at 1 p.m. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on the FREE WDEA  APP, and on any Alexa enabled device. The game will also be live-streamed on the free MDI HUDL page

Ellsworth is now 3-1. They will host Presque Isle on Saturday, December 21st at 1 p.m. That game may be watched on the free Ellsworth HUDL page.
