Bucksport Girls Beat Sumner 32-31 in OT [STATS]

The Bucksport Girl's Basketball Team beat Sumner 32-31 in overtime at Bucksport High School on Friday, January 12th.

Bucksport led 5-2 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 11-6 at the Half. The Golden Bucks led 18-10 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. But Sumner outscored Bucksport 16-8 in the 4th Quarter to tied the score at 26-26 at the end of regulation.

Bucksport was led by Samantha Cyr with 10 points. Mercedes Taungatua had 7 points. Cyr and Jetta Shook each had a 3-pointer for Bucksport. The Golden Bucks were 8-18 from the free throw line.

Sumner was led by Alana Welch with 8 points. Jenna Colby had 7 points. Welch and Colby each had a 3-pointer for the Tigers. Sumner was 5-19 from the free throw line.

Bucksport is now 6-3. They will host Searsport on Monday, January 15th at 3 p.m.

Sumner is 3-7. They will play at Jonesport-Beals on Monday, January 15th at 6:30 p.m.
