Bucksport Girls Beat Searsport 57-5

The Bucksport Girls' Basketball Team beat the Searsport Vikings 57-5 in Searsport on Saturday, December 7th.

The Golden Bucks led 13-0 at the end of the 1st Quarter, and 30-4 at the end of the 1st Half. Bucksport led 43-4 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Bucksport was led by Aivah Tweedie with 11 points, while Katie Curtis had 10 points. Bucksport had 3 3-pointers in the game, with Bri Ames sinking 2 3's and Curtis draining 1 3-pointer. The Golden Bucks were 2-10 from the free throw line.

Emma Helvie had a 3-pointer for the Vikings and Cara Toothaker and Bailleigh Bagley each made a free throw. The Vikings were 2-4 from the free throw line.

Bucksport now 1-0 will play at Orono on Thursday, December 12th at 7 p.m.

Searsport, now 0-1 will play at Deer Isle-Stonington on Tuesday, December 10th at 5 p.m.
