Bucksport Girls Beat Orono 48-38 [STATS]
The Bucksport Girls Basketball Team defeated Orono 48-38 in Orono on Monday, December 11th.
The Lady Golden Bucks led 16-5 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 28-15 at the Half. Orono rallied in the 3rd, to cut the lead to 5 points 38-30.
Bucksport was led by Samantha Cyr with 17 points. Jetta Shook had 12 points. The Golden Bucks had 4 3-pointers, with Shook draining 2, Cyr sinking 1 and Makayla Miller sinking 1, Bucksport was 14-26 from the free throw line.
Orono was led by Abigail Haney with 10 points. Kate Higgins had 9 points. Carmen Miller had the Red Riots' lone 3-poiinter. Orono was 9-19 from the free throw line.
Bucksport is 2-0 and will travel up to Lee Academy on Friday night, December 15th to play the Pandas.
Orono is 0-2. They will travel to play Schenck on Wednesday, December 13th at 7 p.m.
