Bucksport Girls Beat MDI 6-2

The Bucksport Golden Bucks Girl's Soccer Team beat MDI 6-2 on Thursday afternoon October 10th in Bucksport.

Bucksport started off the scoring with a goal from Addison Goss, assisted by Addison Harvey at 25:55 into the game.

MDI scored next at 18:15 into the first half on a corner kick  with the ball going off of a Bucksport player into their own goal.

Less than 3 minutes later at 15:45 Haley Rose scored from a pass from Addison Goss to make the score 2-1 for the Lady Bucks.

Goss scored again with an assist from Aivah Tweddie.at 10:43. Less than 45 seconds later Goss was fouled in the penalty box, and scored on a penalty kick at 9:38, for her 3rd goal of the game.

At half-time, Bucksport led 4-1.

Starting off the 2nd half Bucksport's Chloe Bratcher's scored from outside the 18, with a pass from Addison Goss at 22:39 into the second half.

MDI scored  a goal at 4:03 into the second half from a direct kick from Maeve Hurley. That made the score 5-2.

Bucksport ended the game with a goal at 2:53 starting with Hale Rose scoring her 2nd goal with an assist from Addison Goss .

Addison Fitch had 4 saves on 4 shots and Brooke Elden had 2 saves on 3 shots for Bucksport. MDI's goalie Gwen Stager had 8 saves on 23 shots.

Bucksport is 11-0 on the season. They will host Houlton on Monday, October 14th at 1 p.m.

MDI is 0-9. They will take the long drive up I-95 to Aroostook County on Saturday, October 12th to play the Caribou Vikings at 12 noon.
