Bucksport Girls Beat Deer Isle-Stonington 53-22 in Preseason Game Saturday

The Bucksport Girl's Basketball Team beat the Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners 53-22 in a preseason game on Saturday, December 2nd in Bucksport.

Bucksport led 15-6 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 24-13 at the end of the 1st Half. The Golden Bucks were on top 49-14 at the end of the 3rd Quarter after outscoring the Mariners 25-1 in the 3rd Quarter.

Bucksport was paced by Jetta Shook who finished with 16 points. Samantha Cyr had 13 points and Addison Goss finished with 13 points. Bucksport drained 6 3-pointers with Cyr, Shook and Makayla Miller each sinking 2 3's. Bucksport was 7-9 from the free throw line.

Deer Isle-Stonington was led by Maya Brown with 8 points. Maddie Eaton had 5 points. Rylee Dorr and Maya Brown each sank a 3-pointer. Deer Isle-Stonington was 6-24 from the free throw line

Bucksport will open the season on the road on Friday, December 8th at PCHS at 6 p.m.
