Bucksport Boys Beat Winthrop 51-37 in Preseason Game [STATS]

The Bucksport Golden Bucks Boy's Basketball Team beat the Winthrop Ramblers 51-37 in a preseason game in Bucksport on Saturday, December 2nd.

Bucksport led 15-10 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 19-16 at the end of the 1st Half. The Golden Bucks led 36-24 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Bucksport was led by Caden Blackwood who finished with a game-high 22 points. Colin McDougal and Kamryn Webber each had 8 points. Bucksport had 3 3-pointers with Blackwood sinking 2 3-pointers and Evan Donnell 1 3-pointers. Bucksport was 0-2 from the free throw line.

Winthrop was led by Cole Bard with 14 points and Carter Rivers with 10 points. Chan Ring hit a 3-pointer for the Ramblers. Winthrop finished 6-8 from the free throw line.

Bucksport opens the regular season at home on Friday, December 8th when they host Ellsworth at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.
