The Bucksport Girl's Soccer Team celebrated Senior Night in style on Wednesday, October 5th, defeating the Searsport Vikings 6-1.

Senior Tine Hjelle scored another hat trick to lead the Golden Bucks. She scored her first goal, unassisted with just 1:24 elapsed, at the 38:36 mark. That was the lone goal of the 1st Half, and Bucksport led 1-0.

Searsport tied the score with 23:19 remaining in the 2nd Half, when Karigen Coffin found the back of the net.

Then Hjelle scored an unassisted goal for the Lady Bucks. She then scored again, with an assist coming from Bell Cyr. That made the score 3-1.

Bucksport's Cassy Coombs scored a crossing goal with an assist from Darian Jellison. Victoria Rich assisted on Bell Cyr's goal from the outside, that just went over the Searsport goalie's hands into the back of the net.

Then, two freshman combined for the final goal, as Olivia West scored with the assist going to Zoe Hosford.

Bucksport goalie Bree Coombs had 3 saves on 4 shots. Searsport goalie Brooklynn Alberts had 8 saves on 17 shots.

Bucksport is now 7-4-1 and has 2 games remaining in the regular season. They travel to Sumner on Wednesday, October 12th at 4 PM and then to Lincoln to play Mattanawcook Academy on Friday, October 14th at 4 PM.

Searsport is 3-7 and play host to Vinalhaven on Columbus Day, October 10th at 10:30 AM
