Bucksport Baseball Beats MDI 2-0

The Bucksport Golden Bucks beat the MDI Trojans Baseball Team 2-0, scoring both runs in the top of the 7th inning, in Bar Harbor on Tuesday, April 27th.

Quinten Pileggi was the tough luck loser for MDI, pitching a complete game, allowing just 3 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. Both of the Golden Bucks' runs were unearned as MDI committed 4 errors.

Jacob Guty picked up the win for Bucksport, going 7 innings. He allowed just 2 hits, struck out 13 and walked 1.

MDI's lone hits were by Grady Wellman-Webster and Pileggi.

For Bucksport, Guty had a double and his battery-mate, L. Stanley had a single while Jordan Maenfant had a single.

MDI 2-1 plays at Mansfield Stadium under the lights on Thursday, April 29th at 7 p.m. when they play Brewer. That game will be live-streamed by WHOU (subscription)

Bucksport 2-1 will travel to Belfast to play the Lions on Friday, April 30th.
