Red Sox Beat Yankees 6-4 to Snap 3-Game Losing Streak [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees 6-4 on Sunday, September 14th, snapping a 3-game losing streak.

The Red Sox scored 6 runs in the 1st inning, as each of their first 5 batters had a hit. It was the 1st time since May 19, 2021 that the Red Sox had done that, and was only the 3rd time since 1961 that the Red Sox had done that to the Yankees, (July 7, 1989 and May 9, 2009).

Garrett Crochet went 6.0 innings, allowing 5 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 12 and walked 1, improving his record to 16-5.. Since June 1st, he's 12-1 with a 3.02 ERA.

Carlos Narvaez was 1-4 with a solo home run, his 14th in the 1st inning.

Romy Gonzalez was 2-4 with a double and run batted in. He's now hit a career-long 14 games.

Alex Bregman was 1-4 with a RBI single in the 1st inning.

Aroldis Chapman recorded his 30th save of the season.

Boston has 12 games left in the regular season. The Red Sox are 5.5 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays and in 2nd Place in the AL Wild Card. They are 1.5 games behind the Yankees.
