Red Sox Walk-off Tigers 1-0 Friday Night [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox walked off the Detroit Tigers 1-0 as Masataka Yoshida hit a pinch hit RBI single in the 10th inning to drive in Jarren Duran and give the Red Sox their 1st walk-off win of the season.

Boston wore their green City Connect uniforms for the 1st time this season. They are 7-5 all-time in their Fenway Greens, with each of those 7 wins coming in extra innings.

Ranger Suarez was dominant on the mound for the Red Sox. He went 8 innings allowing 2 singles in the 1st inning, before retiring 22 of the next 23 batters he faced, including his final 13. He struck out 4 and walked 1.

Aroldis Chapman pitched the 9th inning, and Garrett Whitlock pitched the 10th inning, picking up the win and is now 1-1.

Connor Wong had a double and Caleb Durbin had a double as well.

The win snapped Detroit's 6-game winning streak.
