The Boston Red Sox beat the Cleveland Guards 9-1 on Saturday afternoon, May 30th, as Jarren Duran and Connor Wong each drove in 3 runs.

Sonny Gray picked up the win on the mound for Boston, improving his record to 6-1. He went 6.0 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 run, striking out 7 and walking 3.

Duran was 2-5, hitting his 9th homer of the season, a 3-run shot in the 9th inning.

Connor Wong was 2-5 with a double.

Wilyer Abreu, Ceddanne Rafaela, Caleb Durbin and Andruw Monasterio all doubled.

Willson Contreras was 0-3, snapping his 12-game hitting streak, which was the longest in the majors.
