Ceddanne Rafaela's 2-run pinch-hit home run in the 6th inning led the Boston Red Sox to a 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday, May 13th at Fenway Park.

The homer, his 4th of the season, was his 1st career pinch-hit home run. He is 2-3 with 4 runs batted in as a pinch-hitter this season.

Trevor Story was 2-3 with a solo home run in the 2nd inning, his 3rd of the season.

Wilyer Abreu was 3-4.

Sonny Gray picked up the win improving to 4-1. He struck out a season-high 6 batters while pitching 6.0 innings and allowing just 2 hits and a run, walking 1.

Justin Slaten pitched the 7th inning and Garrett Whitlock retired the side in order in the 8th inning.

Aroldis Chapman pitched the 9th inning, walking 2 but striking out the side for his 9th save of the season. He has converted his last 24 save opportunities dating back to July 26, 2025. It's the longest Red Sox streak since Craig Kimbrel's streak of 25 games from June 4, 2016-April 17, 2017.
