The Boston Red Sox beat the Kansas City Royals 4-3 on Wednesday night to sweep the series behind Jarren Duran's 2-run homer in the 7th inning.

Duran hit his 6th homer of the season and 2nd in as many days. He also had a triple and made a highlight catch in foul territory against the fence. .

Willson Contreras was 3-4 with a triple.

Ceddanne Rafaela had a double.

Nick Sogard, Wilyer Abreu, Marcello Mayer and Carlos Narvaez all singled for the Red Sox.

Connolly Early picked up his 4th win of the season, and is 4-2. He pitched 6.1 innings, allowing 6 hits and 3 runs, striking out 5 and walking 1. He did allow 2 home runs.

Greg Weissert came on in relief and allowed a hit in 1.1 innings, striking out 1. Jovi Moran retired the last batter in the 8th inning via a strike out. Aroldis Chapman picked up his 12th save allowing a hit in the 9th inning and striking out 1.

Boston is now 22-27 and Kansas City is 20-30.
