Red Sox Sweep Baltimore Winning Thursday 3-2 [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox swept the 4-game series with the Baltimore Orioles winning Thursday 3-2. The win moved the Red Sox to with 3.5 games of the 1st place Toronto Blue Jays.

Boston received homers from Trevor Story, his 22nd of the season in the 1st inning and Rob Refsnyder, his 7th of the season in the 4th inning.

Refsnyder, who had been reinstated to the roster from the 10-Day Injured List just prior to the game ended 2-4. Nathaniel Lowe was placed on the Paternity List to make room for Refsnyder.

Roman Anthony was 2-3 batting leadoff and is now hitting .291

Romy Gonzalez, playing 1st base drove in the game-winning RBI in the 8th inning.

Garret Crochet started on the mound for Boston and pitched 6.0 innings. He allowed 6 hits and 2 runs, striking out 7 and didn't walk a batter. Justin Hicks pitched the 7th inning, picking up the win. Garrett Whitlock pitched the 8th inning and Steven Matz picked up his 2nd save, pitching the 9th inning.
