Yoshida, who made his 1st appearance in Boston after off-season shoulder surgery was 3-4 with a double and drove in a run.

Lucas Giolito went 6.0 innings, allowing just 4 hits and striking out 6, without walking a batter. He improved to 6-1 and lowered his earned run average to 3.36

Boston's bats continued to be on-fire. They recorded 15 hits, and hit 4 home runs. The Red Sox have scored 10 or more runs in 6 of their last 11 games, and their 16 games with 10 or more runs leads the American League and are tied with the Chicago Cubs for the most in the major league.

Jarren Duran, subject to trade rumors was 2-4 with a double and a 3-run homer in the 8th inning. It was his 8th homer of the season.

Wilyer Abreu was 1-5 with a 2-run homer in the 5th inning. It was his 18th homer of the season.

Carlos Narvaez was 2-4 with a double and his 8th homer, a solo shot in the 2nd inning.

Romy Gonzalez was 1-3, with a 2-run homer in the 8th inning. That homer, his 5th of the season, extended his career-long hitting streak to 10 games.
